Concrete & Exposed Aggregate Sealing
Professional concrete sealing designed to protect exposed aggregate and concrete surfaces from Alberta’s demanding weather, road salts, moisture, UV exposure, stains and everyday wear.
Protect Your Concrete for the Long Run
Professional-grade sealing adds a protective barrier that helps your driveway, patio, or walkway resist the toughest Alberta conditions.
UV Resistant
Helps protect concrete surfaces from fading and deterioration caused by prolonged sun exposure.
Salt & Chloride Resistant
Added protection against road salts and chlorides commonly encountered during Alberta winters.
Chemical & Stain Resistant
Helps protect against oil, automotive fluids, dirt, organic stains, and other common contaminants.
Abrasion & Wear Resistant
Designed for high-traffic concrete surfaces including residential driveways and walkways.
Moisture Protection
Helps reduce moisture penetration into porous concrete and exposed aggregate surfaces.
Enhanced Appearance
Refreshes the appearance of aged concrete and helps bring out the natural character of exposed aggregate.
Easy Maintenance
Sealed surfaces are easier to clean and maintain โ sweeping and rinsing keeps them looking fresh.
Exterior Protection
Designed for demanding exterior environments and Alberta’s changing weather conditions.
Surfaces We Seal
Our sealing service is tailored to residential exterior concrete of all common finishes.
Exposed Aggregate Driveways
Restore colour depth and protect the natural stone finish from de-icing salts and freeze-thaw damage.
Concrete Driveways
Slow surface scaling and staining on standard broom-finished or smooth concrete driveways.
Patios
Protect entertainment spaces from spills, sunscreen, food, and everyday household use.
Walkways & Sidewalks
Reduce moisture penetration and salt damage on your most-used foot-traffic paths.
Decorative Concrete
Preserve stamped, coloured, or scored concrete against fading and surface wear.
Steps & Entrances
Extra protection where salt and moisture concentrate the most.
Professional-Grade Concrete Protection
We use professional high-performance concrete sealing systems selected according to the condition, porosity, and existing finish of your concrete.
Professional Clear Concrete Sealer
A high-performance clear sealing system designed to chemically bond with compatible concrete surfaces and create a durable protective barrier.
- Clear protective finish
- UV resistance
- Chemical resistance
- Salt and chloride resistance
- Abrasion and scratch resistance
- Suitable for exposed aggregate and concrete
- Available in different finish options depending on the application
Advanced Two-Step Protective System
For porous or demanding concrete surfaces, we offer an advanced two-step sealing system.
Step 1: The porous concrete is sealed to reduce absorption and prepare the surface.
Step 2: A high-performance clear protective topcoat is applied to create a durable mineral-based protective barrier.
- Increased surface protection
- Excellent abrasion resistance
- Excellent chemical resistance
- UV resistant
- Protection against chlorides and salt exposure
- Helps protect against staining and contamination
- Premium finished appearance
How Your Project Runs, Step by Step
Inspection
We inspect the concrete, existing coatings, contamination, and overall surface condition.
Surface Preparation
The surface is thoroughly cleaned and prepared to remove dirt, oils, and contaminants.
Professional Sealer Application
The appropriate sealing system is applied based on the condition and porosity of the concrete.
Protected Surface
The finished surface receives durable protection against weather, traffic, and everyday exposure.
Built for Alberta Conditions
Alberta concrete is exposed to demanding conditions — freezing temperatures, snow, road salts, moisture, summer UV, and constant freeze-thaw cycles. Professional sealing provides an additional protective barrier while helping preserve the appearance of your driveway, patio, or walkway.

Concrete & Exposed Aggregate Sealing โ FAQ
Why should I seal exposed aggregate?+
Exposed aggregate has more surface area and small voids between stones where moisture, salt, and dirt collect. Sealing fills those pores and slows down water absorption, salt scaling, and staining โ three of the main causes of premature aging in Alberta driveways.
Does sealing make exposed aggregate look better?+
Usually yes. A quality sealer typically brings out the natural colour depth of the stones and gives a light “wet-look” sheen (satin or gloss depending on the system). Faded, dull surfaces often look years younger after sealing. We’ll set expectations for your specific surface during the on-site inspection.
Can you reseal a previously sealed driveway?+
Sometimes. It depends on the existing sealer type, whether it’s still bonded to the concrete, and its condition. If the old coating is failing (peeling, whitening, or delaminating), it may need to be removed or refreshed before a new system can be applied. We inspect the existing coating during the quote and recommend the correct approach.
Does the surface need to be pressure washed first?+
Almost always yes. Sealing bonds properly only to clean, sound concrete. We include surface prep and cleaning as part of the service.
Does the old sealer need to be removed?+
Only if it’s incompatible with the new system, or if it’s already failing. In many cases we can seal directly over a well-bonded existing coating. Removal, if needed, is quoted separately.
Will sealing protect against road salt?+
The systems we use are specifically designed to resist chlorides and de-icing salts common to Alberta. Sealing significantly reduces salt-driven surface scaling โ but no product is 100% immune, and heavy salt buildup should still be rinsed off in spring.
Is the sealer UV resistant?+
Yes. Both our standard and premium systems are UV-stable and designed to keep exterior concrete from yellowing or chalking. Colour bloom on stones stays vibrant longer.
Can you seal old concrete?+
Yes, as long as the concrete is structurally sound (no major spalling, active heaves, or heavy scaling that’s already broken through the surface). We inspect the substrate and recommend either standard, premium, or resurfacing if the concrete is beyond sealing.
Can you seal a newly installed driveway?+
New concrete typically needs to cure fully before it can accept a sealer — usually a minimum of 28 days depending on weather. We’ll confirm the required wait time during your quote.
How long before I can walk or drive on the surface?+
This depends on the product used, ambient temperature, humidity, and the specific system. Foot traffic is typically same-day or next-day; vehicle traffic usually 24-72 hours. We’ll give you exact cure times before we begin your project.
